July Newsletter

"Whoever has ears, let them hear." Matthew 13:9

As we look at the parables of Jesus this summer my prayer is that we would embrace His unique imagination by hearing the stories he told with open ears, and discover our place within them.  As we imagine the kingdom of God unveiled in our city, we must do so anchored in the profound kingdom stories Jesus invites us into.  Join us this summer for our "Imagine If..." series.

With summer now in full swing, there are lots of opportunities to become more involved as a part of Colossae Beaverton, especially as it relates to the values just taught in our recent vision series. Check out what is happening in July.

IMPORTANT LOCATION & TIME CHANGE - July 7th

We will not have access to BHS for two Sundays, July 7 &14, due to floor refinishing.  PARKSIDE FELLOWSHIP on Erickson has graciously let us lead our regular gathering in their building on July 7th with a slight time change. We will gather in their building at 10:30am.  The following week, July 14th, we will gather back at BHS at 10am outside on the lawn adjacent to the cafeteria with a BBQ lunch after.  Don't forget to bring a lawn chair or blanket and extras to share.

PICNICS IN THE PARK

Pack your family a picnic and meet us at the park for dinner! We will be set up by 5pm and will stay until at least 8:30pm. Join us when you can. Bring dinner and a picnic blanket or lawn chairs. We will bring a pop-up-tent, cookies and drinks. Street Parking only. We will be on the North end of Commonwealth Park on June 27th, near the playground. Questions, email Bethany, text or call at (949)295-3528

ONCE A MONTH - Partner in Making Sunday Happen

One of the beautiful parts of being the church is that it takes all of us. If you call Colossae Beaverton your church, then we would love for you make a once a month commitment to serve with a team.  Either coming to help us set up or staying to tear down, preparing coffee, communion and our hospitality area, working with kids, or one of the other teams, whatever you do, it makes a huge difference!  Let us know how you would like to partner with us in Beaverton on our serve form or on the app

End of Summer Bash

As we enjoy building community within our church body this summer, we would like to communicate our open doors to our neighbors! Friday, August 9th, we will be throwing a community party, inviting those that live near BHS to join us. We are planning a fun family event! If you are interested in being a part of the team, you can let us know on the Serve Form, or email Bethany directly to express your interest.

It is such a honor to serve with you and watch the many ways you each play a role in the kingdom, being used by Jesus in the lives of others!  I pray that we would be a faithful presence in our city, and fruitful in being the people God has called us to be.

Blessings,

Matt
