September Newsletter

Colossae Beaverton launches this week!

Thank you to all who helped us move into the Beaverton High School Cafeteria this last Sunday! We are thankful for the space you helped create and cannot wait to gather this week at 10:00am.

As we get started, here are a few important things to know:

New Series: Acts - The History of Our Witness

Over the summer we prayed through Jesus' central statement, that the Kingdom of God had arrived and that we must repent and believe the good news.  The story continues by the unveiling of that kingdom among the community formed by Jesus and the Spirit...the church.  As we begin, we will be going back to our roots, exploring who the church has always been as we discern who we are called to be in the present.  (See the reading plan below to follow along as a community or on your own).

Help Out On Sundays

One of the best ways to connect meaningfully with others is to serve together.  If you are able to serve on Sundays, would you let us know which team you would like to serve with? Please select an option on this form.

Colossae Kids

Part of being a young congregation means lots of kids! You can make a difference by helping our kids ministry thrive.  In fact, we need two more of you this week, if you are already background checked at Tigard or Hillsboro. If you are new to our kids ministry and want to help serve on Sundays, please begin the process by requesting a background check.

We will have a rotation of workers with our kids, so if you would like to serve bi-weekly, monthly, or can help this week, please contact Kelsey Kim, who will be coordinating volunteers for Beaverton.

Would you join with me this week in prayer as we anticipate what God will do among us for His glory in Beaverton?  Pray bold prayers with me as we join God's mission to reconcile the world to himself through Jesus.

See you Sunday,
Matt
